- Allow food to come to room temperature before you put it into containers or freezer bags
- Squeeze all air out of your freezer bag
- Cool to refrigerator temperature and freeze
- Thaw food the night before you plan to eat it
- Keep food covered tightly with foil while baking
- Label and date freezer food with a sharpie pen
